Sadhu is a Sanskrit word meaning 'gentleman'. The lesson is said in the poet- 'Sadhanoti Parakarititi Sadhu:' (who works for the other person, he is a monk). At present, the sadhus are called those who wear garuda with sanyas initiation and they are also called as Sadhus. The basic purpose of the Sage (Sannyasi) is to guide the path of the society and get salvation through the path of religion. Sadhu Sannyasi Guna Sadhana, performing penance, gives the worldly knowledge to the world and wins its life with sacrifice and restlessness and dissolve in god worship.
